In this post we will be exploring the anime titled "009-1". This 13-episode anime can be found in only one location as far as I know at this time. I will add the website from which I found this anime at the bottom of this post.
This series contains an interesting story that is based during the cold war. A cyborg spy that goes by 009 along with three other agents must help the west side with missions in hopes of winning the war. If I include any other information I risk spoiling the series for future viewers.
My first impression of the series is that it is old. The art style is definitely not from the modern era. The concept for the story is also an interesting take as it gives the feeling of the possible events occurring during any type of war with spies and betrayal. As long as you are able to get past the art style this war-torn series can keep you on your toes with intriguing plot twists and important details. That being said, there were plenty of points in the series that in my personal opinion got have been better. If it were to be made into an anime with the modern style, I think minor adjustments to the storyline can only improve the anime.
