I will recommend this anime until the day I die or lose my memories; whichever comes first. This series only has 26 episodes. However, the storyline provides an amazing plot of people learning to coming together to fight in a war against machines that take control of themselves to end humanity.
Let's get into some specifics. A group of people are deemed outcast because they do not have silver hair and silver eyes. These outcasts, dubbed the title of drones, must man metal contraptions to protect the so-called superior humans. Regardless of their differences, one of the silver haired captains takes it upon herself to help the outcasts under her charge free themselves from the fate of impending death. Any more details will ruin the ending for you, so I will stop myself from saying more.
On a scale of 1-10, I would rate this anime either an 8 or 9. I believe there could have been more closure to the series. I do not believe there is more to come, I would gladly welcome more to the story though. I have talked to other avid anime fans about this anime who told me they think this anime was beautifully written and animated as well. I like what was included in the last few episodes of the series and even brought tears to my eyes. It is very emotional in an exciting and happy way.
