I find this plotline interesting as two children (of opposite gender) get switched at birth. As soon as the parents realize what happened, they get together and arrange a marriage between the children. The children resist the arranged engagement until the parents decide to finally let the children make their own relationship choices. While they start forming their own relationships, the male protagonist starts finding himself falling for other girls including the girl who he was switched with at birth.
The series is still on going with 2 seasons (24 episodes in season 1 and 12 episodes in season 2) available on Crunchyroll. It is not a new concept for T.V. shows or movies to show babies being switched at birth. What makes the story is how the situation is handled. In this story, the parents arrange for the teens to be married. However, they quickly learn the children deserve to find love for themselves instead of being forced into a marriage. This is because regardless of whether the children are married or not, the parents will have the opportunity to guide the children as if both teens have 4 parents instead of the typical 2.
This series is still ongoing; by the time you see this post, there may be more episodes available as well. I think the parents, at first, did not handle this situation by forcing the arranged marriage. On the other side, the parents' growth shows that they really have the best interest of the teens in mind, and they truly care and love each child. As for the children themselves, the main male character (Nagi Umino) starts to have feelings grow for more than one girl; does he like each one the same way though? That is the question he has to figure out himself as well. As he resists his feelings, the female protagonist (Erika Amano) begins to realize her feelings for someone close to her, but is it Nagi? I will let you find out for yourself.
I found this series interest; it was light-hearted and emotional. The characters personalities brought the story to life adding color to a tragic background. In my experience, there are other anime with much sadder backgrounds for the main characters. However, this is a tragic background, nonetheless. You know my opinion of this series, tell me what you thought of it. This is Skyler signing off for now, UNTIL NEXT TIME!!
